Hornady CX .22 Caliber (.224 Diameter) 65gr Polymer Tip Copper eXpanding Boat Tail Lead-Free 50/Box features a lead-free, one-piece copper alloy which won't separate and delivers devastating terminal performance, deep penetration, and 95% bullet weight retention. Hornady's CX (Copper Alloy eXpanding) bullet (projectile) utilizes Hornady's Heat Shield bullet tip which is made of a heat-resistant polymer that resists aerodynamic heating and provides a consistently high ballistic coefficient (BC) for the bullet's entire flight path. The Heat Shield bullet tip also gives the bullet a perfect meplat (tip) for bullet-to-bullet and lot-to-lot consistency. Optimum grove geometry is accomplished due to the grooves on the CX bullet, which maximizes aerodynamic performance while effectively reducing bearing surface and fouling. These bullets are built for hunting varmint sized game (less than 50 lbs) including bobcats and coyotes. These bullets are new production and non-corrosive.
