Hornady Sub-X .338 Caliber (.338 Diameter) 307gr Subsonic Flex Tip eXpanding 50/Box features a lead core with long grooves in its gilding metal jacket, which combined with the bullet’s (projectile's) flat profile and the patented Flex Tip insert within its hollow point cavity help it expand reliably at low velocities, even as low as 900 FPS (Feet Per Second). Cannelures provide positive case crimp, ideal for semiautomatic firearms. Designed to fit, feed and function in a variety of firearms, including gas system guns, this bullet meets FBI protocol for terminal ballistic test requirements. This bullet is built for defense purposes including hunting medium sized game (50 to 300 lbs) including feral hogs. These bullets are new production and non-corrosive.

Please Note: Subsonic bullets are ideal for shooting through suppressors because they help reduce the sound signature and are designed to perform reliably at subsonic velocities. Subsonic bullets do not exhibit a supersonic crack making them quieter when shot through your favorite can.
