Hornady Match 6.5mm Creedmoor 140gr ELD Match 20/Box features the new Hornady Heat Shield tip match bullet which creates the perfect meplat and outperforms boat tail hollow point (BTHP) bullets. This ammunition features powder which is matched carefully for optimal pressure, velocity and consistent accuracy. Each cartridge is carefully selected based on wall thickness uniformity, internal capacity, case weight and consistent wall concentricity. Hornady utilizes the utmost quality control procedures for all Hornady Match ammunition to ensure superior lot-to-lot match consistency. This ammunition is built specially for long range competition shooting and is highly respected among several top competition shooters. accurate and awesome
I purchased this Hornady match 140 grain eld last month for 30.23 per box. When I saw the price I almost fell out of my chair. I decided to purchase a full case. On the range, this round is so accurate I am hitting 3in groups out to 700 yards. I truly think this is the best 6.5 creedmoor for long distance competition grade shooting. My range buds are always impressed with my groups out to 700 yards. I even have them wanting to jump on the 6.5 creedmoor wagon. I have shot the other grain weights in the 6.5 creedmoor but I get better results at longer ranges with the 140 grain than I do the lighter grains weights. I achieve such accuracy out to 700 yards out of my Savage Axis XP which has a 22in barrel. I would recommend this ammunition for any one aspiring to gain the best long range accuracy out of their rifle and for competition shooters. If I can reach out to 700 yards with accuracy then I know professional shooters can reach out even further. Overall this is an excellent round.
