Hornady BLACK .300 AAC Blackout Subsonic 208gr ELD Match 20/Box delivers the utmost in versatility and match grade accuracy, and is designed to fit, feed and function in a variety of firearm platforms including direct impingement, gas piston, suppressed, unsuppressed, inertia, bolt, pump, supersonic, subsonic, rifle, mid-length, carbine or pistol. his ammunition utilizes Hornady's ELD Match (Exremely Low Drag Match) bullet (projectile) which features a Heat Shield tip which is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating, allowing the polymer tip to retain its shape to provide a perfect meplat (tip) that remains the same shape. The streamlined secant ogive with optimum boat tail design and highly concentric AMP (bullet jackets plus Heat Shield tip creates a supremely accurate, high ballistic coefficient match bullet. ELD Match ballistic coefficients are measured with Doppler radar and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions that deliver the highest ballistic coefficients, superior accuracy and extreme consistency. This ammunition delivers the advantage of higher muzzle velocity, phenomenal accuracy, increased range and reduced wind drift and is built for competition shooters, law enforcement, military shooters and snipers. This ammunition is built specifically for target and competition shooting. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, boxer primed, in reloadable brass cases.

Please Note: Subsonic ammunition is ideal for shooting through suppressors because they help reduce the sound signature. Subsonic rounds do not exhibit a supersonic crack making them quieter when shot through your favorite can. This ammunition does not have to be fired through a suppressed firearm and will function in non-suppressed firearms. 

Also Note: Hornady replaced the older A-Max bullet line with the ELD Match series because the ELD Match features a patented Heat Shield tip that resists melting and deforming at high supersonic speeds. A-Max tips could deform or droop from aerodynamic heating at long ranges, lowering the ballistic coefficient. ELD tips use a heat-resistant polymer that keeps its sharp shape in flight. ELD bullet generally offer higher, more consistent BCs compared to A-Max predecessors. Hornady states that dimensions, overall profile and load data remain identical, meaning you can swap an A-Max for an ELD-Match using the same powder charges and seating depths. Instead of changing the item number, Hornady kept 80891 for the box of ammunition but updated the bullet inside.
