This ammunition features Hornady's polymer Heat Shield bullet tip which is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating, allowing the polymer tip to retain its shape to provide a perfect meplat (tip) that remains the same shape. Upon impact, the polymer tip drives rearward through the large air gap and into the bullet core, causing rapid and dramatic fragmentation, even at low velocities. The streamlined secant ogive with optimum boat tail design and highly concentric AMP bullet jackets plus Heat Shield tip creates a supremely accurate, high ballistic coefficient match bullet. The ELD-VT (Exremely Low Drag Varmint | Target) bullet ballistic coefficients are measured with Doppler radar and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions that deliver the highest ballistic coefficients, superior accuracy and extreme consistency. The long, sleek, match bullet profile with reduced core-to-bullet length ratio maximizes muzzle velocity and moves the center of gravity rearward which enhances aerodynamic performance. This ammunition delivers the advantage of higher muzzle velocity, phenomenal accuracy, increased range and reduced wind drift and is built for competition shooters, law enforcement, military shooters, snipers and coyote hunters. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, boxer primed, in reloadable brass cases.
