Nosler Partition .30 Caliber (.308 Diameter) 180gr Protected Point 50/Box delivers optimum length, weight and ogive design for maximum in-flight and terminal performance. Nosler's special lead-alloy, dual-core provides superior mushrooming characteristics at virtually all impact velocities. The fully tapered copper-alloy jacket ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth, yet the gradual thickening along the bullet's axis controls expansion and curls the jacket uniformly outward at high and low velocities. Nosler's integral partition supports the expanded mushroom and retains the rear lead-alloy core. The enclosed rear core retains more than two-thirds of the original bullet weight for deep penetration. The special crimp locks add strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy magnums. These bullets are built for hunting medium sized game (50 to 300 lbs) including whitetail deer and for hunting large game (300 to 1500 lbs) including elk. These bullets are new production and non-corrosive.

great expansion on deer and hogs
I have been reloading for the past 20 years, and these bullets are by far my favorite to reload. I load these for hunting deer and hogs with great results. In November of 2019 I took down a 231 pound hog at 250 yards with a 22in barrel 1 in 10 twist. That hog fell right over. No movement at all. At 250 yards I got 11in of penetration. I mostly hunt hogs but I also drop deer with the same rifle but with even better results. This bullet has become my favorite all around bullet to load for what I hunt. I trust Nosler and their bullets to perform just as advertised. Great thanks to the people at munitions express for carrying these bullets and for the great price. I will buy a few more boxes at a later time.
