Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel Personal Protection .38 Special +P 135gr Jacketed Hollow Point 20/Box is designed to work in barrels as short as 1.9 inches while producing less felt recoil and achieving reliable expansion and penetration. Gold Dot ammo features a patented process that forms the hollow point cavity in two stages. The core is pre-fluted to define the "fault" lines of expansion, controlling final diameter and retained weight. The second process finishes the cavity and controls the rate of expansion. Select, clean burning propellants deliver optimum velocity while ensuring consistent chamber pressures. Non corrosive CCI primers are used for highly sensitive and reliable performance, as well as nickel plated brass cases for smooth feeding and durability. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, boxer primed, in reloadable brass cases.

Please Note: This ammunition is loaded to a higher pressure than standard .38 Special. Although this ammunition is externally identical to standard ammunition of this caliber, this ammunition should only be used in firearms rated for .38 Special +P ammunition.
